Hampi is famous for its ruins belonging to the medieval kingdom of Vijayanagara, and it is declared a World Heritage site. The temples, monolithic sculptures, and monuments are a major part of Hampi and attract travelers because of their excellent workmanship. The style of architecture found at Hampi reflects the splendor of the Vijayanagara Empire.

Vijayanagara was one of the largest Empires in India. Two brothers, Harihar and Bukka, founded it in 1336. Krishnadevaraya (1509-1529) was the greatest ruler and controlled almost all peninsular India south of the Tungabhadra River. The town of Hampi in the 14th century had a population of half a million people.Seven concentric lines of fortifications protected the city. It maintained a massive army to defend it from other kingdoms.

The Veerabhadra temple located in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. Built in the
16th century, the architectural features of the temple are in the Vijayanagara style with profusion of carvings and paintings.It almost every exposed surface of the temple. It is one of the centrally protected monuments of national importance.The vijayanara paintings are particularly detailed in very bright dresses and colours with scenes of Rama and Krishna from the epic stories of the Ramayana, Mahabharata and the Puranas and they are well preserved. There is a very large Nandi (bull), mount of Shiva, about 200 metres (660 ft) away from the temple which is carved from a single block of stone, which is said to be one of the largest of its type in India.

Belum Caves is located at Belum Village in. Kolimigundla Mandal of kurnool district in State of Andhra Pradesh, India. Kolimigundla is situated 3 km from Belum Caves. Belum caves was formed due to erosion in limestone deposits in the area by Chitravati River, Millions of years ago. Now Chitravati River flows almost 30 km south of Belum. Caves are located on a flat agricultural field . There are 3 well like cavities in plain agricultural fields. The central cavity is the main entrance to the caves. The walls of the cave are very smooth. Belum Caves are geologically and historically important caves. There are indications that Jains and Buddhists monks were occupying these caves centuries ago. Many Buddhists relics were found inside the caves. These relics are now housed in Museum at Anantapur.

Yaganti Uma Maheswara Temple is a temple of Shiva in the Andhra Pradesh. It was built according to Vaishnavaite traditions. This temple was constructed by King Harihara Bukka Raya of the Vijayanagara Empire in the 15th century. A feature of this temple is its Pushkarini, a small pond of water on the temple. Water flows into this Pushkarini from the bottom of hill through the mouth of a Nandi (bull). The water is fresh and sweet, as it comes from the hills.Also there are two more caves .

Tadipatri has two ancient temples. The Stala Purana (Local History) states that both the temples were built by two brothers in a day Bugga Ramalingeswara Swamy temple is a Siva shrine situated in Tadipatri, Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The temple lies on the bank of the Penna River.The temple was estimated to have been constructed between 1490 and 1509.The Bugga Rama Lingeswara Temple could not be completed and it still stands incomplete till this very day., it would have been called Dakshina Kasi. Gandikota is a small and quaint village in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. Flanked by River Penna on the right side, the village is famous for the spectacular gorges formed by the river cutting through Erramala Hills. The narrow valleys with streams running between them and the steep rocky walls are reminiscent of the renowned Grand Canyon in Arizona. It requires a walk of almost a kilometer from the main gate to reach the boulder from where you can observe the mesmerizing view from the viewpoint near the fort.
